    RSPC celebrates 12-18 February every year as National Productivity Week, along with National Productivity Council and Local Productivity Councils of the country. The themes of

    The National Productivity Week 2017 was celebrated during February 12-18, 2017, during which activities as given in the report, on the theme given below, were organized.

    REPORT OF ACTIVITIES ORGANIZED BY RSPC, JAIPUR
    FOR PRODUCTIVITY WEEK-2017

    THEME : FROM WASTE TO PROFITS THROUGH REDUCE, RECYCLE AND REUSE

    Date: Feb 12, 2017 ( Sunday)
    An Inter-School Painting and Quiz competition was organized on Feb., 12, 2017 jointly by  RSPC, NPC Jaipur  and PCRA Jaipur on the Theme chosen this year, at club House, Unique Tower, Pratap Nagar, Jaipur. In this competition, students of class 1 to 8 from different schools participated. Winners were selected for prizes, which were presented to the winners by Mr. Mukesh Singh Head RPMG, NPC, Jaipur. Certificates of participation were given to all the participating children by PCRA, Jaipur.

    A Seminar was organized jointly by Rajasthan State Productivity Council (RSPC), Jaipur, IIM Ahmedabad Alumni Association, Jaipur Chapter & Swami Keshavanand Institute of Technology & Gramothan, (SKIT), Jaipur on Feb 13, 2017 (Forenoon) in J C Bose Hall of SKIT.  After introduction of the theme by Prof. S P Garg, and speeches by Dr. S L Khurana, Director Academics, Dr. S K Calla Director (D and W) and Shri O P Agrawal President, IIM Alumni Asson. Jaipur Chapter and views of four students of MBA of SKIT,  Shri V K Sharma  Honorary Secretary RSPC, addressed the Seminar about the activities of RSPC and observations about the theme of the Week viz. “From Waste to Profits Through Reduce, Recycle and Reuse”. Key note address was given by power point presentation by the Chief Guest, Dr. Anupam K Singh, Director Institute of Engineering and Technology, JK Lakshmipat University, Jaipur on the theme. This was followed by a question/answer session.  Prizes were given to the winners of the Quiz competition organized on the occasion, which was followed by a group photograph of the guests and the winners of the Quiz competition. Prof. Dr. Vikas Shrotriya of SKIT proposed a vote of thanks. Amongst those present were S/Shri U C Jain, H L Chauhan, C B Bairathi, Dr. Deepak Yaduvanshi & some other guests.

    Another Seminar was organized jointly by Rajasthan State Productivity Council (RSPC), Jaipur, Ind. Society of Training & Development, Jaipur and Manipal University, Jaipur on Feb 13, 2017 (Afternoon) in the Conference Hall of this University. After welcome by Dr. Amit Jain, President ISTD, Jaipur, Shri V K Sharma Honorary Secretary RSPC, introduced the theme of the Seminar to the audience viz. “From Waste to Profits Through Reduce, Recycle and Reuse” and also briefed about the activities of RSPC. Three speakers who shared their experiences and views with power point presentations were from the Hotel industry viz. Mr. Deepak Kumar, Learning & Development Manager, from Hotel Le Meridien, Jaipur, on “Paperless technology & how new technology helps to save paper”, Mr. Ajeet Pandey, Executive House Keeper, Jaipur Marriott Hotel, on “Overview on Eco-friendly practices in Housekeeping” and Mr. Sanjay Sinha, Executive Housekeeper, Hotel Royal Orchid, Jaipur, on “ Eco-friendly concepts & how waste management, water & energy conservation methods are adopted by Hotels.” Dr. Sonal Karnik Asso. Prof.  Manipal Univ. proposed a vote of thanks. Amongst those present were S/Shri U C Jain, C B Bairathi & some other guests.

    Productivity talks were organized jointly by NPC, Jaipur & RSPC, Jaipur on Feb 14, 2017( Forenoon), at Bhairon Singh Shekhawat Smriti Sabha Bhawan, Chamber Bhawan, Jaipur during the celebrations of Productivity Week-2017.   After welcome by Mr. U C Jain Hon. Secy. General RSPC, Mr. Mukesh Singh Head RPMG, NPC, Jaipur introduced the theme of the Seminar. Five speakers from various organizations of Jaipur addressed the gathering. Mr. Pradeep Ojha Dy. Director MSME, Jaipur,  Mr. L C Jain Additional Commissioner, Industries Dept., Raj. Govt. and Mr. Deepak Gupta Head PCRA, Jaipur addressed on the theme.   Mr. Sampatlal  Surana presented a Case study on alternative uses of marble slurry. Thereafter Mr. Naveen Agarwal presented his case study on making of bricks from flyash. Dr. K L Jain President RSPC, presided over the Seminar and gave his Presidential address. Mr. Babul al Sharma V P /RSPC also gave his views. Mr. V K Sharma Hon. Secy. RSPC, proposed a vote of thanks.

    A technical talk was organized on Feb 14, 2017 (afternoon) on the topic “Waste to Wealth-Reuse and Recycle” by Mr. Vijay Singhal, Chief Environmental Engineer, Raj. State Pollution Control Board, Jaipur  in the Productivity Week-2017 programme, jointly by RSPC Jaipur with Mgt. Develop. Academy,  Jaipur and NIPA, Jaipur at Conference Hall of Prakrit Bharati Academy, Jaipur. He addressed the august gathering through power point presentation. This was followed by a lively question and answer session. Mr. H L Chauhan welcomed and also proposed a vote of thanks. Those present included S/Shri Khanna, Prof. Ramesh Arora, U C Jain, V K Sharma, C B Bairathi, Virendra Mehta and others, besides many students, with the hall full to capacity.

    A programme of discussion was organized by NIPM, Jaipur and Dept. of Business Administration, Raj. University, Jaipur during “Productivity Week-2017”, at Seminar Hall of this Dept. of Raj. Univ. on Feb 15, (FN). After welcome by Dr. Anil Mehta, S/Shri U C Jain and V K Sharma  apprised the students about the theme of the programme and also about the activities of RSPC, Jaipur. Power point presentations by Dr. Ashok Sharma on “Profits through Waste Management” and by Ms. Smita Sharma Senior Research Fellow, on “From Waste to Profits” were followed by a lively question answer session. HOD, Dr. Anil Mehta presided over the function.  Repr. of this Dept. of Raj. Univ. proposed a vote of thanks.

    Continuing the activities under Productivity Week-2017, a Workshop was jointly organized by RSPC, Social Security Association of India, Raj. Chapter & BHU Alumni Association, Jaipur on Feb 15  (AN) at Bhairon Singh Shekhawat Smriti Sabha Bhawan, Chamber Bhawan, wherein 3 specialists, Dr. Pushpendra Singh, Asso. Prof. JKLU, Jaipur , Mr. Bhuvenesh Mathur from Pollution Control Board on the theme and Prof. Pawan Kalla from MNIT, on “Zero waste project proposal for Stone industry’ addressed members of these 3 organizations with power point presentation. Mr. U C Jain Hon. Secy. General welcomed the  members. Mr. V K Sharma President, BHU Alumni Asson., Jaipur and Hon. Secy. RSPC, introduced the theme of the Seminar & also apprised about the activities of RSPC. Mr. Babulal Sharma VP/RSPC gave his views about the topic. Justice P C Jain President SSAI, Raj. Chapter delivered the Presidential address. Mr. A N Roy , Secy. SSAI, Raj. Chapter proposed a vote of thanks.

    An Essay competition was organized at, and jointly with, Management Development Academy, Jaipur, in which 27 students from various colleges/institutions participated. After evaluation of the essays submitted, winners were awarded appropriate prizes, at MDA.
    Date: Feb 16, 2017 
    A technical talk was organized jointly by RSPC and JK Lakshmipat Univ., Jaipur in their Seminar Hall on Feb 16, (AN). Prof. Dr. S Bhaduri of JKLU presented his views about the topic.  Mr. V K Sharma Hon. Secy. RSPC, narrated the activities of RSPC and also explained about the theme of the Seminar. Two of the students also gave their views. Dr. Vivek S Agrawal, Chair India, International Solid Waste Association, Austria was the Chief Guest. With power point presentations he presented the status at present and the actions needed to be taken with respect to the theme. There was a lively question/answer session. JKLU repr. presented a vote of thanks. Dr. Pushpendra Singh, Dr. Vinod Kumar Vishwakarma and some other faculty members of JKLU were present. The session was largely attended.

    As a part of Productivity Week-2017, a Slogan Competition was organized at Govt. Girls Senior Secondary School, Malviya Nagar, Jaipur for its students of senior classes and its prize distribution was arranged on Feb 18 (FN). Mr. U C Jain had a look at the slogans/posters prepared and displayed in the hall of the school.  After Saraswati Puja and welcome by Coordinator teacher of the School, besides speech by the Principal of the School, Mr. VK Sharma, Hon Secy RSPC, narrated to the students about the activities of RSPC in brief, and explained the various areas of normal life, where the students could contribute their bit, towards saving the resources and the environment. Out of 25 students who submitted their entries in the form of coloured posters, five were awarded cash prizes along with certificates, by Mr. V K Sharma, C B Bairathi Advisor RSPC and Mrs. Asha Gupta Principal of the school.  A large number of students and some teachers were present.
